Core Class “E” Syllabus & Schedule – Fall 2006

Daily Schedule for Core Class E
(8:45 - 8:55) – Walk the track – no opening
8:55 – Doors to Mrs. Tyson’s Room 32 open
9:00 – 9:10 – Prepare for weekly quiz, turn in homework, silent
reading/current events
9:10 - 9:20 – Attendance, quiz, review upcoming homework
9:20 – 10:30 – Language Arts/Writing
10:30 – 10:40 – Recess
10:40 – 11:55 – History/Geography Explorative
11:55 – Clean up/wash hands
12:00 – 12:40 – Lunch
12:40 – 1:30 – Music with Mrs. Johnson in Room 35 (line up by her door)
1:30 – 2:45 – Science/Art/ Character Education Explorative
2:45 – 3:00 – Closing with Mrs. Johnson’s Core Class F
3:00 – Dismissal
Students will be given a semester Core Class grade which will be based on the following breakdown.
Attendance will account for 5% of semester grade
Homework will account for 25% of semester grade
Quizzes will account for 25% of semester grade Participation in class – 5%
Writing will account for 40% of semester grade
Participation will account for 5% of semester grade
Each week students will be expected to turn in one assignment from their Classics Kit “E” as well as each week students will be given a 5-10 question quiz on items recently learned in the Classics Kit.
